Remote editing

Edit and save remote files in place with the built-in Monaco (VS Code) editor, tabs, and split view.

Moorix embeds the Monaco engine — the same editor that powers VS Code — so you can open, edit, and save remote files directly, with full syntax highlighting.

Edit & save a remote file

    In the File manager (SFTP) remote pane, double-click a file to open it in the built-in editor.

    Make your changes with full syntax highlighting. Open more files in tabs, or use split view to see two files at once. Minimize the editor to the dock to keep working in the terminal.

    Press Ctrl / ⌘ + S to save. The file is written back over the connection, in place — no download-edit-reupload cycle.
